1941 Willy’s Slat Grill

That was literally the first time it fired up to run it, the belt gave out. Fn ford’s always breaking down. It really smoothed out after that video.

I took time to install the top and spare tire,

Little more work today. Ran new fuel lines, cleaned the tank, new fuel pump, removed the wheels and checked the brakes. It appears they all have newer wheel cylinders. Not much more I can do until parts arrive.

Started rebuilding the carb today. This this has way more passages than my 53 A1 or the FC and wagon. I also swapped out the master cyclinder and bled some brakes. It’ll stop :)

I’m glad I took a bunch of photos. 😳. I’ll see how i did tomorrow. I kept the inspection tag from 1944. I wonder how many times this carburetor has been rebuilt in the last 81 years.

Sometimes this thing kick my ass. I snapped off the bleeders on two of the wheel cylinders, New wheel cylinders came in and I snapped a brake line, actually two.., 🥹🤣.

So more shit on order…, did I mention these are full float axles…
