I was thinking of using a Velcro cord strap to hold my fishing rods to the roll bar. That works just as well!

I did use a Velcro loop a few trips but the rods and reels especially rocked and slapped all over. This rides great, no knocking around and Velcro strapped for easy removal

That’s good to know about the reels not staying put with just a strap. I wouldn’t want my nice reels getting beat up. Love the adaptation to overcome the problem!
