Welcome to the TOW RIG THREAD

Super reassuring to hear from someone in the industry. Mine is likely to sit quite a bit since I daily the JL. The trailer I’m looking at is pretty heavy compared to my current toy hauler, many of the people who own them have upgraded to DRW trucks. New truck should get exercised plenty hard...

Welcome to the TOW RIG THREAD

General quality info, options to avoid or get, known failures and issues etc. They just cost so damn much I’d hate to end up with one that has issues that could be avoided by getting a different year model. I love my 2006 LLY, (some say it’s the same engine as the LBZ with different tuning)...

Welcome to the TOW RIG THREAD

Does anybody have intel on the current 2500/3500 GM Duramax trucks? My 2006 GMC 2500 Duramax/Allison is a great truck but is starting to fall apart, paint is failing, headliner upholstery is falling down Etc. I’m not ready to buy right this second but a new truck is in my future. I’ll...

Mike, I’m assuming the Reid’s use the stock alignment bushings. Can you confirm?

What was done to your rig this week?

Thanks, I should be able to figure it all out. The Currie stuff moves the tie rod and drag link up 2+ inches from stock, that’s what caused my fitment issues.

What was done to your rig this week?

Well I can officially confirm the RockJock Knuckles did not work for me…. A combination of my Synergy steering and steersmarts track bar relocation bracket would have never cleared with the Currie high steer stuff. The Currie trackbar/steering stabilizer bracket is tucked tighter to the axle...

What was done to your rig this week?

Thanks for the input guys, I ended up ordering the Currie RockJock brand since they were $100 cheaper than the Reid racing and Summit retails them but not the Synergy knuckles. I had some summit bucks I needed to use by the end of the month. I didn’t catch the warning from RockJock that their...

What was done to your rig this week?

Any recommendations for aftermarket knuckles? I figured I might as well go HD this time, I’ve looked at Reid, RockJock, and Synergy. I’m leaning toward the Reid racing parts but have no real reason to be biased

What was done to your rig this week?

New bushings in my track bar and upgraded the Synergy sector shaft brace with a bearing type support instead of the bronze bushed one… Then discovered this

What was done to your rig this week?

Knocked the bushing out of my track bar and got some replacements ordered, I sure beat the shit out of track bar bushings. I went through two (or three) sets in my EVO track bar and now a set in the Synergy.

    Trail Radios.

My group switched from the cheap handheld GMRS to cheap handheld ham radios. We even started to use them when we’re hauling campers or RV’s on the highway too, easier and quicker than using cell phones

Random Internet Shit you've come across

I wanted a Redline when I was a kid... Just looked them up & I still can't afford one Mid to late '80s RL20 II's seem to go from a few thousand for just a frame and fork set to complete bikes going for 6-7 thousand.
