    Steering Wheel Wobble

I dont drive mine a lot, but when it sits a while in the winter it takes a good bit for the tires smooth out, especially if I have them in the 24-26lb range. You might try airing them up to 32-35 and just see what happens. Other than that, check all your bushings for the track and upper/lower...

Anyone ever run a 300/300 spring combo on front of JK?

That much thread showing total when tightened down. That was when I was running 40's at almost 4 inches on the passenger side which is a tad more than the drivers. I have dropped down to a 38 tire and not as much preload. I recharged the shocks and added 3/4 " of pre load. Its close to...

Anyone ever run a 300/300 spring combo on front of JK?

Oh there's that added front weight. I guess Im just gonna dive in and see what the 300 combo feels like. May not make that much difference either way. Im just sick of the heavy rake look or having to crank down to almost 4 inches of preload on the passenger side and 3.5 on drivers.

Anyone ever run a 300/300 spring combo on front of JK?

That gives me a little comfort jumping to a 300/300. Although Im light as I can be for most part, I have the rear bumper delete, no spare or anything back there. Nothing on front but cheap smiity winch and narrow evo bumper. How much preload on the front are you running with that 300/350...

Anyone ever run a 300/300 spring combo on front of JK?

I have the passenger side lean too. Prob have to use an extra 1/2" or so preload on the front to level it out.

Anyone ever run a 300/300 spring combo on front of JK?

Thanks. I had some old spacers from a M416 military trailer. I just knocked one out of one of them and it was same size. Just swapped it.

Anyone ever run a 300/300 spring combo on front of JK?

Well it looks like Im running a 12" on top and bottom 250/300. Its hard on my old back getting this thing high enough in the air to get things fully extended, its been a while. Was just gonna try a recharge of the resi's, but was pulling it all apart and I galled or partially stripped a stud...

Anyone ever run a 300/300 spring combo on front of JK?

thanks for reply. I didnt mention that I have the full Evo long arms, but its the bolt on kit in the front, not the DTD.

Anyone ever run a 300/300 spring combo on front of JK?

Running a 250 upper and 300 lower now on the front. I have to preload them a lot, like over 3.5" to get it level. The rear spring rates are very light , backed all the way off and only have above 2 to 3 inches of the shaft showing. Im just tired of this heavy rake look but concerned about...

    DV8 Bumpstops or King ?

Anyone have any input on the DV8 hydraulic bump stops? Searched all over and just cant find much good or bad about them. The price is hard to ignore, but my gut tells me there has to be a reason they are almost half the price of King built bumps.

dropping a lot of preload off of front king coilovers

I just got rid of the 40 x15.50's that were on my rig when I purchased it. I went with 38x13.50's and I lowered the preload to 1-3/8" inch on drivers side and 1-5/8" on passenger side to help with the JK "lean". I had about 3.5" of preload before, I know, it was bad. 250/300 coils on front...

40x15.5x20 Toyo going smaller what do you guys like now?

Bought a used JK around 3 years ago running 4.88's and the big Toyo MT's. Its been my daily driver and its time to go smaller for the gamut of reasons. Should I ditch the 20X12 inch wheels and go with a more practical 17 or 18" wheel? I live down south, so rocks aren't a primary play time...

Getting rained on in rear storage area

We have been getting a few showers here and there and I have just been running my bikini top getting the rear cargo area wet. Long story short, I kept noticing the rear tie downs right next to the tailgate in each corner were wet and I thought they were wet from the rain but noticed everywhere...

    Tonneau cover

Anyone run one of these on a 4 door? I just put one on and was wondering why there is no lip to keep the water from running off of it behind the rear seats ? It seems like they would come up with an extension or riser that zips on to take care of this. Anyone have any mods to fix this?

    front Unit bearing

Anyone experience one of these on the way out? I'm not feeling a lot of obvious play, even with the brake caliper off, although it doesn't take much for them to be gone I think. Sometimes I feel a vibration when pulling my boat The boat makes the back end sit about an inch lower and I...

    Brakes, vacuum pump, evap etc.

Got a small evap leak code the other day, cleared it and it didn't come back. I also have been hearing my vacuum pump kicking on in the morning sometimes when I don't drive the Jeep for a few days. Then todayI got the gas cap warning on the display. Seems like a lot of crap that hit at once...

    Oil leak stared on 2015

I haven't really investigated under the hood yet, but from underneath the passenger side motor mount is pretty wet and appears its coming from above it. Getting worse as I'm starting to smell a little oil. Maybe the the oil filter housing? On another note, when I take it in, do I need to...

Best way to remove steel plates welded to frame for sliders

Maybe you guys can explain the rear EVO long arm bracket. I'm thinking they may have just welded the tube to it? Theses sliders have taken some pretty good licks, but don't know the brand. Have had a couple close calls where a steeper angle would have helped, that's why I am considering a...

Best way to remove steel plates welded to frame for sliders

Sawzall, Grinder, Plasma, Torch? Or should I just cut the tubes and keep the plates? Im wanting to go to a beefier EVO slider, but they went full weld around the plates other than the top. These plates are pretty big as well. thanks guys

    Front vs rear tire wear

How often does everyone rotate? It seems like my rears haven't lost any tread in 3K miles but the front are little more noticeable, but no cupping or abnormal wear from an alignment issue that I can see. Just had me wondering with a lot of the weight up if other had experienced this.
