35s and 37s on stock carrier...

Re: I'm using a 1" wheel spacer on the stock tire carrier, with the tire sitting on a 4" drop trailer hitch with a plate welded on it, inserted upside down for a tight fit. I have a 37" BFG KM2 on mine. Personally, I prefer not to have to open a tire carrier, then a door to get into the hatch...

    Ouch

First bush run this season, due to snow, lots of fallen trees, and after clearing a bunch of them , a buddy thought he would drive under this little hanging branch.... Amazing how dangerous something so small can be. No one was hurt, but someone "was" in the passenger seat...

Where do you store your soft top windows,,

Most likely not an original solution, but since summer rolled around I wasn't liking just throwing my windows in the back hatch,,so,, here's where I keep them now. Canadian technology,, haha,, no, just a dumb fix for an irritating problem..

The lighter side of a rollover,,,

Had a good chuckle when we looked inside a buddies Toyota after he flipped it,,amazing how much crap some people have laying around in the front seat of the vehicles that ends up stuck to the window :)... A little inexperience, wet rocks, muddy tires will get you every time... A few dents...

    Spare tire carrier.

re: Had a friend weld this up for my wifes JK. She's running 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers, so far, so good.. Very snug fit, but not so snug as to affect the position of the door when closed, that was a little trial and error... If she comes down on a rock, the hitch should take the brunt of the...

2013 Rubicon, Speedometer tied to nav ?

I didn't realize this,,,, Checked today with my other navigation system, and sure enough, I was 9 km off speed. So here's the story. I picked up a new to me 2013 10th Anniversary edition, with budget boost and on 315/70R17's Mickey Thompson ATZ's, ( both soon to be swapped out) Driving the 400...

    Axle Shaft Questions...

re: I just went through this battle, except with both sides of the jeep. I ended up having to use forks between the axle housing and the backing plate, forcing one side out a bit, wedging it, then working on the other side, back and forth till they popped out,. I use 3 forks, and a ballpeen...

My electronic swaybar disconnect killed my jeep

Well, I didn't realize it could happen, but now I know. My SBD light started flashing 2 days ago, thought I had some dirty connections, and was waiting for decent weather to get the connector off and take a look. Yesterday, all the idiot lights started flashing, I pulled over, shut off the...

    On the rock garden

Went out this weekend with a few people. Kerry, in his TJ Rubicon, sitting on 40's, dana 60's and a modified long arm wanted to test out his jeep in the rock garden. Long video, but I wanted to record it all for him, so I just thought I would share it with you all. The bottom half gets a little...

    2012 stock suspension

Hi guys,,,, I'm wondering if the stock lower control arms, and stock shocks from a 2012 jku, would fit on my 2008 jku ? I'm running a teraflex 2.5" lift with shock extenders, with worn bushings on the control arms and have found a good deal on the stock parts I mentioned,,,, Any input would be...

    HDR Photography

Re: Taken with a DSLR, processed with Photomatix. ( demo leaves a watermark) Photoshop also does a great job. There a quite a few programs out there to do it. I find bracketing 3 exposures, with the center exposure 2/3 below normal makes the clouds a little more dramatic. Not everyone likes the...
