Kicked ass today! This week I'm going to try to get the brakes, steering, pedals and drive shafts done. I'm having a blast doing this!:rock:

Put the knuckles together and installed the axles this afternoon. I'm waiting on some spindles to finish it. Hoping to paint the frame,springs and diffs saturday :thumb:

Got my bearings today as well as a spider gears spent a couple hours putting it all together . I'm waiting to put the knuckles together till I get the housing thing

I took the front differential apart found a lot of rusty bearings parently some idiot got water in it and left it in there for years. I also found a thin spot in the frame so I cut it out made a patch and welded it in then hopefully this weekend I'll get green paint on all these parts and...

wtf Ok so I rotate it each time one place....On the fourth move its back to right side up and only after moving it 4 times it works. the next pic will be sideways again. now it made a liar out of me. lets try a diff pic

I met this guy who said he had bunch of ww2 trucks and this jeep. I originally went to look at an M37 dodge but this little thing was begging to be saved. I'm going to restore it to its wartime trim as close as I can. So first I'm restoring the frame and running gear then the body will be...

Tomorrow marks the 70th anniversary Of D-Day. I wanted so bad to be in Normandy for the remembrance ceremony. I will make it there someday I just hope to make it before all our veterans of WW2 pass on. God bless our veterans and active duty men and women and God bless our fallen hero's of days...

As a builder and fabricator I have to ask why the brackets were not fully welded? welding them after the installation will cause the tubes to warp slightly. Are the axle tubes going to be fully supported by a fixture for final welding? Having built a lot of rears from scratch for drag racing...
