Led light bars, what brand and why

Honestly, it all depends on components used. Couple that with the fact that unless you want to run 6 50" lightbars on the roof, it behooves a person to get one that gets the job done. We are speaking in generalities here, since we are not talking about any specific lightbars, but from what I...

Led light bars, what brand and why

Honestly it isn't about failure. Unless its total garbage, chances are, they won't fail, LEDs seldom do. However, I have seen 40" lightbars that put out less light than ONE of my Rigid D2s or Aurora lights, so there is a quality difference. Having said that, it only goes up to a point. A...

Led light bars, what brand and why

I do, and generally like to know what Im buying. I posted the above as general info so that people can make their own decisions. I like my rigid lights, they work very well, but I honestly can't see why there is a 100% percent price difference for a product that is no different, other than the...

Led light bars, what brand and why

Not all the Chinese bars are created equal though. There is a lot of sh!t out there, hell, I'll say most of the stuff isn't good. Most bars use glass, not lexan, they use very cheap optics, low quality LEDs, poor assembly, bad or no gaskets, etc. I personally wouldn't buy the totally cheap...

Led light bars, what brand and why

You are correct, not all LEDs are the same, but the same LEDs ARE the same. Cree, Epistar or Osram LEDs are the same (assuming it's the same model) no matter who is using it. Most LEDs are made in Taiwan and China. The optics I agree, some are a lot better than others, and that's a call the...

    Warn winch advice

I was advised by rancho to run the boots, especially during the winter. They said that the salt/calcium chloride will chew through the rod in a hurry. I haven't wheeled with them yet, but they are on there nice and tight, and after a 300 mile inspection (including driving through salt) it...

Led light bars, what brand and why

I was simply answering the OP, but ok. Aurora and rigid are the best two bars on the market and considering I own both, and know them both inside and out, I made a conclusive statement which is based on countless hours of research, taking lights, apart, etc etc. If you do not agree with my...

    Warn winch advice

6K seems a tad light for a Jeep. I mean for $100, its better than nothing, but I'd scoop up a decent 8K when someone has it on sale for $349.

Led light bars, what brand and why

You want Aurora lightbars. They are the only ones that are as good as rigid and use brand name components (cree LEDs, GE lexan, etc.) Rigid is manufactured overseas as well, they are just assembled in the US. There are no lightbars on the market that are manufactured in the US.

    3.6 synthetic oil

Here are Chrysler's Parameters to meet their specs.... Now most of the above is jibberish, but the point is, since regular Mobil meets their requirements, it is clearly due to the fact that Mobil and Chrysler aren't very fond of one another, and the fact that Chrysler switched from...

    Balljoint replacement advice

Hey guys, I have a 2014 JKU with 415 miles on the clock. I already have 35s on it, and sometime soon, Im planning on getting C gussets welded on. I know that welding C gussets can ruin/hurt the OEM plastic balljoints, so I figured I'll replace mine with something a little beefier. A few...

    Help! What did I adjust!?

Hey guys, I was trying to center my steering wheel, and it was early in the morning and I had a brain fart....I adjusted this instead. Don't want leaks? Read this thread....

So Im on my second JKU, both with hardtops only. First one had 23K before I gave it up and I have never had a leak. From my time on forums, I have seen that most people have leaks due to seal issues. Well, here are two things to can do (one is cheap, the other is free) so it behooves you to...
