They are mad because everyone went to solar and now SDGE are barely making any money. Hell, our electric bill is only $20-$50 at most and that’s with 6 people in the house. Something is always running at our house. TVs (2-3), computers (2), the kids gaming, lights.

I find the 10 mil wrench is much easier to find than the 10 mil socket! Those damn things disappear faster than socks in the wash!

I took the time today to really clean up the hole where the antenna is bolted to the fender. Then I made a dedicated ground for the fender to ensure a good strong ground connection. Hopefully this is cure my high SWR readings. I’ll give it a go at tuning again later.

Bypass in and coolant topped off. Test drive went great. Now onto the next task.

Got the correct part and a gallon of coolant just in case. Now for the rain to stop so I can put it in.

Well, the parts warehouse turned a 6 into a 9 and sent the wrong part. 🤬 Oh well, the part should be there in the morning. I can also grab a gallon of coolant from the dealership so I can burp the system bad top it off.

I’m going to bypass it until I get everything I need together. That way I can still drive it without any concern. It’ll just be a bit chilly.

Wouldn’t you know it, Murphy reared his nasty head this morning. I saw a little liquid spot under the jeep and after looking around I found it’s coming from the condensation drain for the HVAC housing. It is coolant so I’m figuring the heater core needs replacing now.

When it comes time for me to get a GMRS I’m going for the 575. I like that I can tuck the control unit away. Much cleaner for a TJ, but that’s just me.
