Maybe I'm not understanding something... It's called a crush sleeve because it needs to get crushed. If you're not crushing it and torquing it down, your pinion is gonna be sloppy and loose.

Sounds like you're not crushing the sleeve and torquing the pinion nut enough.

I have one and you need to get on the fitting perfectly or you just make a mess. Found I have better luck with a needle tip and just jam it in the zirc.
