    Radiator leak…

    Radiator leak…

I noticed some coolant on the driveway the other day. Jeep was parked for about 15 hours. I saw a small drop of coolant coming from the corner where the black plastic meets the aluminum. It’s been really hot out, and my coolant reservoir went down in level since I last filled it by about two...

    reprograming tire size

I use the Superchips Flashcal. Works great, and I can use it to change a lot of other options like DRL, fog lamp use, clear DTC's and read DTC's, you name it.

Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

I did moisture test it. There were a couple small areas where no matter what I did, the stuff didn't adhere properly. The prior owners had an old floor down, but oils or some other residue got deep into the concrete. Fortunately, the areas were small. I only sealed those parts and didn't do the...

Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

Decided to empty out my garage and redo the flooring with the DuPont (generic Home Depot) garage floor epoxy kit. Took me two months. Rented a POD and threw everything in it, cleared out my attic and put planks down, scraped the floor with a Diamabrite tool, laid down the epoxy after pressure...

    Rich's Command Green Budget Build

Here are some shots from the road: exploring in Page, AZ, driving through White Sands NM, a stop with the setup at Capitol Reef NP in Utah, and after a day mudding and driving in snow in Bryce/Tropic UT.

    Rich's Command Green Budget Build

It's been awhile! Thought I'd post an update, as the Jeep is always a work in progress....until you run out of money! So I decided to do some mods before I did a year long road trip with my Jeep. We took it all around the US towing a teardrop camper and had a great time. I needed to add some new...

    SOLD

I have 2 NEVER INSTALLED OR USED Rough Country Black Series 2" LED cubes, all wiring including dash rocker switch, along with two mounting brackets for the lights to be used as an OEM fog lamp replacement on the STOCK JKU BUMPER. I originally bought these thinking they'd be compatible with my...

    Detailing your jeep

That’s a a commando green Jeep under all that Utah red dirt. We had to do an impromptu detail job in Moab as we were on the road for a year. Didn’t come out too bad! Now that we are home, it’s time to give it some MAJOR TLC.

    Lifter noise or Normal?

Mine started doing this at about 110k. (2013). It made me nervous at first, but I realize it hasn't affected the performance at all. I am just at the point with all the noises my JKU makes, I won't worry about it til something breaks. I'm at 127k right now and all is still good.

In Search of a Last Hope in the Nevada Desert

As always, great pics and great info. Like the previous poster said, I am old school myself and like to see a good old fashioned trip report like this instead of tons of videos all the time. Your pictures are always so nicely composed too. We are on a year long road trip so we could get away...

    Metal in rear diff. FML.

I had seen a few things on various sites indicating the LSD may be the issue. I’m hoping that’s all it is. Thanks- I am going to be doing a lot of driving across the country in the upcoming year, and that gives me hope that I can limp along with it if that’s what it is.

    Metal in rear diff. FML.

I have only 98k miles- the last fluid change was at 70k..with no metal.

    Metal in rear diff. FML.

Yeah I was kicking the idea around. Is this typical wear and tear? Or has upgrading to larger tires taken a toll?

    Metal in rear diff. FML.

Doing my routine fluid changes, I pulled the plug off the rear Dana 44 diff and found these two lovely items stuck to the drain plug. I haven’t noticed any odd noises except for a noticeable “clunk” when I back out of my driveway and first start to roll forward. Usually only when the vehicle is...

    LED upgrade, now throwing codes

Hahaha..it’s been a nice run with minimal issues. I’m willing to take some of the abuse going into my next 100k miles…

    LED upgrade, now throwing codes

Hmmmm…so I also see that I have a small evap leak code as well. GASCAP error showed up a couple days ago and apparently after clearing it twice it’s still there… now I guess I have another issue. 🤦‍♂️

    LED upgrade, now throwing codes

A week ago I replaced the stock headlights with some 7” Rough Country LEDs. All was fine for a week, but recently I have started throwing codes. It does nothing to the headlight performance; they work just fine. The codes are: B1638 right hi beam circuit high B1634 left hi beam high B162C left...

Yep, thank you. I was unaware there were two positions for the bracket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rotopax..

I ordered mine directly from Rotopax. Their customer service is top notch. I don’t like ordering off Amazon. I got the Fuelpax and then ordered a water Rotopax for my camper trailer. I ordered the Jeep spare tire mount directly from Rotopax as well. The only thing I had to get off Amazon was the...
