Hydro ASSIST is really the best way to go imho.

Looks like everyone is mostly just talking about hydro assist. I'll throw this out there- Full hydro, I don't think is street legal, and while it is very strong and simple- it is also dangerous.. If your engine stalls, you have no steering. And I mean NO steering!! Kinda scary! Hydro...

I've always heard about burying your spare tire, but I've never had to. I can see how this method works, but there is a huge risk of the strap coming off the tire and wrapping up on your axle. Use caution. I've also heard Of Guys using just a rim so this doesn't happen.

I really think it is a posi. Here are a couple other pics of some dana 35 posis . . . Like mentioned above, the side of the carrier is much squarer with a posi. And after looking at these pics, I realized that for the dana 35, they do not have that "s" spring I was talking about earlier.
