Sounds like your springs are catching on the bump stop towers. If they are, you should start to see evidence of it on both the lip of the jounce cups and or feel it on the inside of the springs. Reason for this happening is typically caused by spring bow from improper upper perch isolator...

LOL - been a while since I've posted on this thread but after a rash of posts dreading the red and based on what people have "heard", I thought I'd give this a bump.

Whether it's just one or a whole herd, elk in the pasture and in broad daylight is becoming a daily experience lately.

It really is lame that these new JL Wranglers and JT Gladiators are so much more prone to death wobble than any other Jeep made in the past. There are a few things that really don't help anything like the aluminum steering box that the JL originally came with or the aluminum steering knuckles...

I would never pretend to know as much as what can be cited on the internet but in my very limited experience working on Jeeps, I can say that too little caster or zero caster can make it easier for death wobble to occur. However, it's far from what I would call a "common contributor". More like...

Good on you for getting right to post trip maintenance! Also, that little Jeep did awesome out in Moab or at least, with you behind the wheel. I literally can't count how many times I've seen big built up rigs get hung up on stuff you walked right up and over.
