Hello! My name is Justin. I've been a member for a while. I don't really post much, usually more of a reader. About 3 weeks ago, my 07 4d jk was stolen out of my driveway. She had been on the rocks hard and always carried me through, being a Sahara and trying her little heart keeping up my my group of nothing but rubis every weekend.
Well they found her completely torched by the their, nothing savagabke. Not before he ripped off all the aftermarket parts that he could. I'll post a before and after.
Well, since then I have bought a 2007 4d rubi. We named her Garnet for her color and many other reasons. Pretty much stock. So hear I am, starting over.
Insurance didn't cover a thing. Luckily I had the Sahara paid off.
Now we start with a better platform but no money lol
Still have my vks standard sliders that never got out on, so there's a start.
So hello from Springfield mo,
Hoping to slowly build her back up, I have most of a 4 inch lift except the adjustable track bar and shocks.
Here's to a new start, a new Rubi named garnet, and a passion for Jeeps

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about the other Jeep. Why didn't insurance cover it?

Man that sucks about your old jeep!! Can you elaborate a bit on what your insurance company did, and didn't do for you? Maybe you can help the rest of us make adjustments to our insurance policies as needed.

That's not the most ideal way of upgrading. Hopefully insurance will do something I know most places won't insure aftermarket parts witch sucks big time.... I have a set of shocks they should Handel being on a 4" lift, I don't need or want anymore there taraflex and a bit on the stiff side. Why I took them off

Insurance?

It's kindve along story but I only had liability insurance. I never had a loan against the Jeep so I never was forced to have it. I wanted to switch several times but it meant I had to change companies and everything. My advise to anyone. If you love your Jeep, don't skimp on insurance. My wife and I bought our first as a total basket case. Slowely we built it up piece by piece. All the way from a new motor, to lift, tires, rems fenders and a whole new top. We did all the work ourselves. You never know when you go to run up to the gas station for coffee and you open the door and your Jeep is gone.
We were able to get a pretty good price on our new Rubi. She has a 2.5 budget boost ( must come off) everything else stock. We have everything to do a 4" tereflex lift other than the shocks and track bar, and bump stops. I'm wanting to go 37 tires being that I ran 35's on 3" bds lift with flat fender. The flex was perfect, but the over all in tire size and clearance was lacking.
The funny thing is that I was a week away from locking the rear.
I had just bought the rock sliders, so. Thankfully I still have them, as well as my spider web shade. Of corse I have to rebuy everything, including, my smittybilt 10k winch, front bumper, and anything else.
It was a major kick in the teeth but trying to find the positive, we get to start fresh with a better platform and much much much more knowledge.
I'm saving up now for tires, hoping to go with nitro trail graps, or cooper stt. On 17 wheel.
Any advise on the what you would do with a fresh start would be awesome.

I don't necessarily mind being stiff, as I usually end up pretty heavy.are you looking to sell them?
