Motobilt D-ring mounts ripped straight off

I have their rear micro bumper on my JK and I can say the d ring mounts are beef... Far more solid than anything else on the market. As far as someone breaking the welds on one of their front d-ring shackle mounts. I question this personally and would like to see actual pictures of the product that failed as I have seen much of their work and its pretty nice. I have never seen anything that isn't solid that they make. I know that their front shackle mounts DO NOT come with hardware so I question this as well. This is the Motobilt rear shackle mount vs the EVO ones that came off my Jeep for comparison. View attachment 247379

Dude.. get lost with this crap

So what you are saying is because "i haven't commented before I can't comment?" what type of silly shit is that? I am praising a company based on my own personal experiences. Im right here in Tennesse if you ever want to meet me I own a shop and I build Jeeps... I am out wheeling all the time actually was wheeling last weekend and I'll be in Texas showcasing a shop build JK that we built for SEMA this weekend. I am not dissing EVO products I run their coilover kit on my JK and think its awesome. Just because I'm not "active" on your board doesn't entitle me to not be able to comment. got to start somewhere bro... Actually I think I might start commenting more so I can get my personal posts up just for you.

Yeah, you come in here and praise a company on your first post. No one knows who you are or the company, so.. get outta here with that crap

So his opinion is not warranted because he doesn't have many post. Your opinion/intelligence isn't based on how many post you have, he's merely throwing it out there. That is a crap way to treat a new member. I know a couple of shops in Nashville that sell their products and know people that run their stuff and love it.

With all the weird crap going on tonight about Motobilt, to have some random new guy chime in and say how great they are on the first post.. how about a wave? How about anything other than an opinion on a controversial subject at the moment?

I think if you stay for a bit you would understand why he said what he did. It seems to be a running trend here for shady businesses to post as if they are a user. So of course he will approach it being skeptical.

I'm with you on that, I guess I don't ever pay attention to it when it happens. I have also seen guys get nailed for just being new to the forum. I know that trolls are out there and for whatever reason some people just want to come on this forum and create bullshit. I would just like to know what the final outcome from the whole thing and how Motobilt handled or handles the situation. I don't own a business or have anything from them.

Only time I see guys get nailed for being new is when they break forum rules. Many instances they go off the deep end when someone corrects them.

Thank you so much! I just wanted to post my opinion. I am not a retailer of motobilt products but I do like the Microbumper that I put on my JK. I just always question when someone hates on a company and does not post any pictures of the failure. It makes you wonder I've been off and on in the off road community since 1995 and have owned over 100 Jeeps Im hardly new to the game just not super active in the forums these days... Thats just my thoughts. I do not work for motobilt or any other parts manufacturer or retailer out there. I do own a shop. I specialize in Jeep Restorations and I occasionally do a few builds for customers I personally know. My intentions were not to start any crap I just wanted to post my personal interactions with the company and ask for proof of this item in question that "failed".

Dude I'm just north of you, pm the name of your shop I'm sure we know some of the same people.

All I can say is that Motobilt should be embarrassed charging $110 for these pieces of shit! Flame cut steel including flaming out the shackle and mounting holes and then welded with no finishing whatsoever? No CNC machining of the rough edges or hole machining? Not on my Jeep!

Just look at this crap:

If they are D-bags and don't want to take care of the issue, that to me is more of a deal breaker than one instance of someone having a D-ring mount breaking off.

As I've said before, I don't know this company from Adam and couldn't say one way or another if they're a good company. What I have seen is them sending out their fanboys, people who openly admit they hate me and this forum and try to defend them by calling the guy who posted up about the break a "liar". That's certainly one way of "taking care of the issue" but in my opinion, not exactly the most "professional" way.

I couldn't care less what you think about this company especially being that I don't have a clue as to who you are. I do appreciate you letting me know that you are a shop though as I do have specific rules for that - ones that you were required to agree to in order to become an member of my forum. Please take the time to read them carefully before chiming in again. Thank you.

Well I guess I won't be posting on your site anymore. I didn't realize an individual who owns a shop couldn't be a member of the forum I must have missed that section in your rules. I don't have a clue who you are other than an administrator of a website I didn't realize you had to be "known" to be a member or participant. Well as soon as I become active I guess I should become inactive. Best of luck and I hope to catch you out on the trails sometime.

Hence, why I posted links to both my rules and the specific terms of service you were required to agree to in order to become a member here.

LOL!! Me, I'm a nobody but I'm glad you found my website without too much trouble. I don't have a clue as to the rest of what you said is all about but, okay.

Well as soon as I become active I guess I should become inactive.

Actually, had you taken the time to read the rules you were required to agree to in order to become a member here, you could have just left at that time and not become a member. OR, you could have done what most vendors who want to be on here but don't feel the need to wear who they are on their shirt sleeves and just left the fact that you own a shop out of the discussion. Of course, the cat's out of the bag now.

Best of luck and I hope to catch you out on the trails sometime.

Thank you. I've been fortunate to have luck on my side for a very long time and I've been able to enjoy a wonderful and fulfilling life because of it. With any luck, we will meet on the trail sometime.

Take care :standing wave:

You're still here? You should become inactive because we don't want to read the shit that is typed by your boyfriends dick beaters. Plus it seems you don't agree with the way Eddie runs the website he owns and pays for to exists. So you can leave whenever!

I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about disagreeing with how the guy runs his website. Its his sandbox I just missed the part about owning a shop. I am going to say thats my bad. I also am not going to just lie and say I don't I'm proud of the work I do no shame in that... I'm pretty much sure that anyones input is welcomed in a "forum" that has something relevant to say. Just giving my personal first hand experience with the companies products... Something that you have NO experience with but I'm sure you will be quick to hate on.
Best of luck and I truly hope I catch you on the trails...
