EVO rocksliders with Rubi rails

No reason why you couldn't make it work but as mentioned, I think it'd look kind of silly.

I do see some running with both. It looks nice. Some must just run them more for looks then.

I run the skins on my JK's and can tell you that for the most part, it's totally for looks. If you like the looks of running a rocker guard over a rocker guard, you should. Certainly, it's your Jeep :yup:

I don't see how the Rubi rails would fit above the EVO sliders. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1481557259.960196.jpglook close and you can see that there is about one AA battery's worth of room between the pinch seam and the slider. See the slider flange at the bottom edge of the frame? The Rubi rail would push the EVO slider even lower.

Well shit that's why I would put them on for the most part!:cheesy:

Now I do notice bolt holes on them. I take it most just weld and holes are for if you want to install that way as well? You would just have to drill into the frame correct?

I think there's a French guy on here that did utilize the holes in the flanges to bolt them onto his frame due to the strict rules they have in the U.K. They are meant to be welded though, filling the holes with a rosette weld.

I'd imagine the extra weight of running both Rubi Rails and EVO sliders would be a factor for some.

They are NOT bolt holes. As stated, they are for a rosette weld.

I thought so too until I saw a practical reason for them. The last time I was in Moab I had a rock get caught between the tub and the slider...as the tub moved while I drove (took me a while to realize what the horrible crunching noise was)....that little rock scratched the sh!t out of the underarea, and left a small dent (where it's still painted but tapers inward). I realize this is one in a million, but had I had the skins this damage would not have occurred...so they do serve a rare one in a million function hahaha:cheesy:

You'd he surprised with the shops around here. I tried getting mine welded cause my welder was down and they said they don't weld them. They would tap holes and bolt them in for me. That they do it all the time. [emoji52] I ended up borrowing a welder .
