Hey mtg I'm not sure if you heard or saw but smittybilt said they will be shipping January of 2017 and the price is 5,999.

Edit: I think that's $1000 more than they said last year. Curious if it has changed.

I did a similar thing with an inverted receiver hitch. I added UHMW between the tire and the receiver to make up a gap and to reduce friction when opening and closing. So far my tailgate is holding up just fine and operation is smooth with almost no drag.
