Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

OU
We always get beat when ranked in the top 5. Home field helped a little but Houston outplayed us. The Longhorns will be a handful at the state fair. I was at a bar during the ND game and the place went nuts at the final, usually we have all Texas haters but the OU fans showed major respect that night.

Went out to Gettysburg for the holiday weekend ! ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1473369983.839063.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1473370005.171889.jpg

Trip was great; than I go to work on Tuesday and get a text that a branch fell on the jeep in the driveway and wrecked my hood :/

Earlier this week I drove up to Wyoming from Colorado to help my dad out with the log cabin he is building. The pictures of the field and the rocks are actually part of the Oregon Trail and if you look carefully, you can see wagon ruts in the rock. This is all within 100 yards of my dads property line and if you go a little further out, there are some grave sites and memorial plaques for those who were left behind by their families. Its not the first time I've taken that walk but every time I do its almost bone chilling and really gets you thinking about what it really must have been like to just pick up and move across the country in hope of a better life.

That's awesome. We were up in Guernsey a few years ago and toured some of that. Hard to believe the history. Those people were tough.

Took a little drive out to Lake Switzer (West of Harrisonburg, VA; about 3mi from WV line). Nice drive. Only way to get to it are old fire roads that connect to a nice trail system. Very remote, only saw one other person the whole time we were there. Nice old man with a guitar and his dog sitting down by the lake. Next time we head out that way I'm going to leave more time for exploration.

Nice pics. That is a great area to drive around. Did you make it to the top of Flag Pole knob?
