As nice it has been to drive it around still have stuff that needs to get done so I stuck it back up on the lift earlier. I cut rear LCAs off lower and now to weld a plate on the bottom to give a bit of a skid. I also started to mess with the transfer case skid. I think im just going to add in a piece of tube to extend it over to the other frame rail. Maybe one day Ill build something much better but this should do for now. I also ran the breathers for the front and rear axle. The rear I ended up going all the way up to the fuel cell and the front is up in the top of the engine bay.

After driving the jeep i have noticed the rear towers flexing a bit while going down the road so im going to add a bar or 2 going from one to the other. Im thinking im going to run it behind the cell so it doesnt get in the way of taking the cover off and also doesnt kill the little space I have left in the cargo area.

Getting there!

What's up with the transfer case skid?

Thought any about trying to raise the LCA mounts for more clearance?

Are you going to work on sealing up the cab around the rear shock mounts?

I think for now Im just going to extend it over to mount the frame (normally mounts to the gas tank). I want to run the LCA on the front of the tube but with these RK arms being to bent that aint gonna happen. So since Im now opened up to be able to triangulate 4 link the rear im gonna wait till then and do it. As far as closing up the cab maybe at some point but im not too worried about it. Figured if I was in a mudfest I could just throw a trash bag over it and duct tap it to keep some out. Maybe when everything is said and done then Ill work on closing it.

For now for the LCAs I welded a 1/4 plate to the bottom so it has a little protection for the joint and be a easier slide then getting a rock hung in the back off the mount.

Man that's crazy how you got pulled so quick haha
Loving the new look Scott that thang is gonna be nasty on the trail can't wait to see it wheeling

Earlier other then putting the plates on the bottom of the rear LCA mounts I wrapped up the exhaust. I originally started for the fuel line that is so close but then kept going with the rest of the role figuring it wouldnt hurt to keep some heat off the atlas.

Also bent up a bar to run from each of the towers. Didnt end up burning it in because im not sure if I really like it. If I go this route ill probably tie it into each either side of the cage and a V in the middle going to the top of the cage.

I so called the fact I was gonna get pulled over too lol. I pulled up at a stop light and looked in the mirror and saw him come over the hill and move couple lanes and got behind me.

Earlier today got the Jeep aligned. It was pretty far out but much better now.

When I got home I went back and put red locktite on those front control arms to keep them from spinning since they are opposite threads. I also burned the bar in the back and plan to run a couple of the sides to the factory cage for more support on the towers. I also bent a piece of tube and finished up the tcase skid. I havent decided if its going to be temporary or not I plan to just play it by ear.

I plan to get it finished up and go for a shakedown next weekend. If goes as plan it will get a beatdown cause id rather find the weak link there then on the end of the summer run.

Also for got to mention earlier I ordered a steel wheel so Ill have a spare just for Trevor haha

Gray rock turned out good for the jeep. Rode easy stuff for the most part without any issues. I cant wait for a true shakedown run on it now.

Great to see this monster in action finally. Spectacular build!!

Appreciate it man.

God damn that front wheel can reach down there. Those Ori's look really impressive. Looks like a blast dude.

They are starting to feel much better with milage on them. I got a feeling there gonna need some tuning but with just slapping them on there and they felt pretty stable. I can tell I definitely have more travel then I did before from crossing that washout.

Looks like you had a great time. Can't wait to see more out of this beast.

It definitely was a great time. Im cant wait to see how its all going to really work together.

The plow that protects the ram is done. Was originally going to put gussets on the front side too but didnt really have room and with the rest it feels super sturdy. It is 1/4" plate so im gonna say its going to have to have one hell of a hit on the top of it to bend it. I havent decided what but im going to put some sort of hook so I can attach my winch to it for a front suck down.

Could you attach some sort tab that could hold a d-ring to the front rather than a hook?

I actually have a d-ring tab sitting in the shop. After going back and forth with mike we left it off, but i may go back and burn it in. He wants to see a hook that bangs around and makes noise :cheesy:
