Did this thing come off of my Jeep?

So while traveling for work, my wife sent me some pictures (sorry, not like that) of some broken thing my son found in the garage.

I have no clue what it is but it looks intricate, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't something that broke off my JK without me being aware of it. Look familiar to any of you?

Btw, it is about 1/4" or 1/2" wide.

Nice catch, thanks! Didn't think about tools. Sure enough yup, I had a cheap 1/2 to 3/8 adapter break on me just before I left.
