Big wave from the St.Louis area

Man, what's seem like an eternal wait (3weeks) I'm finally picking up my rubi tomorrow! Already have evo c-gusstes, evo d-rings, and a basic recovery kit here at the house. I have a quick question though, do I need c-gussets since the rubi comes with a quasi 44 front axle? From what I've gathered though the axle housing is really as burly as a PR44.

Finally got my jeep last weekend. We had some super weather here in the midwest, near 70 degrees. I was able to pull the sunrider top open and take it for a spin. We had a friends 4 yr old son in the back and he thought it was pretty sweet. Here's a poser shot.

Looks great! Good tires also. As far as the gussets, you'll still wanna weld them on, the rubicon D44 is the same as a D30 other than the size of the center section
 
Thanks, I'm having a tough time finding a place that will weld on the evo gussets that I have. Axleboy is trying to have me go with the teraflex gussets since they believe my ball joints will melt putting on the evos. They said the teraflex gussets don't require the same amount of heat. Anyone agree or disagree with those comments?

I just looked at the Teraflex gussets. Truthfully, they don't even look as structural, but still, welding then on will produce similar heat at the ball joint if you don't take your time. Even though they are a little further away, I don't think it would matter if you weren't careful welding them on. It looks to me like your C could still bend with those things much more than the EVOs.

I don't know, I welded my EVO gussets on 20,000 miles ago and my ball joints show no signs of wear. As long as you/they take their time and keep everything cool, the ball joints will be fine.

Did you do it yourself or did you take it to a shop? If a shop, which one? Thanks

Live about 60 miles west of StL. We don't generally do any off-road fabrication. The shop I work at is a tire/mechanic shop. We do tires and all automotive repairs other than transmission rebuilds and exhaust fabrication. We have a welder so I used the shop to weld on my gussets
