Wave from Phoenix, AZ

First time Jeep owner here! My buddy, Templar is to blame. About 12 years ago I traded in my F350 4x4 for the wife's minivan, and then about 6 years ago I decided I needed something to satisfy my midlife crisis, so I bought a Challenger SRT8.

My oldest daughter went and grew up to driving age, and the SRT8 was definitely not something she could drive, and she loved Jeep's as well -- so I decided (with a little nudge from Templar) to get one.

This has quickly escalated, as you'll soon see from the impending build thread. I've only got about 2,000 miles on it, and I'm afraid to tell my wife how much I've spent since the initial purchase at the dealer. I think this wave is my first step in admitting I might have a problem. That, or it could be throwing gasoline on the fire. I'm not sure yet.

Anyway, I'm born and raised in Phoenix AZ. I'm a 3rd generation native, my family having arrived in the early 1900's when it was still a territory. We've a long history of camping, fishing, dirt-biking and quadding up the state -- this'll be my first "large" toy hitting the dirt.

Software development pays for this little hobby. I am a senior architect at a large software company, writing electronic discovery software for the litigation industry.

Just home from the dealer the beginning of July ...

Nice jeep, I can't wait to see what else you have planned.

Welcome to Wayalife from a fellow Phoenix native! That rig is looking great, and I'm really digging the color. There is a small group of us wayalifers that is forming, and we like to hit trails around the state about once a week. Make sure to come hit some trails with us!

A Warm Welcome!! I recognize that mountain in the background of your second photo... Looks like north Phoenix. See you guys on the trail!

Welcome to WayaLife from Scottsdale !!!! Nice to see we're getting more Zonies on this great forum!! Looks like you caught the 'bug'... There's no cure for it just a steady feed of medication (modifications) will help this affliction !!! But it looks like you've got a good start on it ! Hope to see you on the trail! :thumb:
