Jk door hinges

Hey all. Im considering building some tube doors and am curious to know of any of you know of the door hinge pins from a tj are the same as a jk's as far as pin soze goes. I can buy a set of aftermarket hinges from rugged risge or something for like 50 bucks a side but theres a few scrap yards with tjs in them around me and i can get the door hinges for next to nothing. So if that would work id rather be cheap since the tube doors won't be on all of the time! Any and all help would be appreciated

I recently finished making a full set for my JKU. I did not buy pre-made hinges to keep the cost down. Here's a link with the most detail about how I got it set up. I'm a newb Jeeper and newb welder, but would be happy to answer any questions you have.

I did follow your thread they look great :) and im also trying to do that otherwise id just buy tube doors ha ha and if i have any ill definitely ask!

as an update ive figured out a rough drawing and took some measurements on the jeep. the two white lines on the side of the "doors" represent the where the windshield frame bends and the other line is where the body line where the soft/hard top sit. all angled pipe will be 30 degrees

Way better of a template start than I had, as you probably saw in my thread! Looks good! I like the angled idea for the bottom, rear of the door and your angled crossmember.

thanks i dont plan on making the doors to go all the way to the bottom of the door so the cross member and the bottom angle match. so i figure itll look okay i do have measurements on the auto cad drawing i made but im sure some will change when the time comes i havent accounted for a door latch or hinge yet.
