Weird I had the opposite experience. They told me I didn't need some stuff. I guess it just depends on the day really.

That's what Sharkey was saying. They will give it to you straight and help you build it right over just trying to make a sale.
 
I guess I thought he was comparing Trail Jeeps and NR, one up sales, one doesn't. Doesn't matter really everyone seems to have their preferred vendors. :beer:

I was, and it was based on actual experience on another JKU that I built but did not own. The owner (who spent about $15k-$20k on his upgrades with NR) constantly had to deal with misinformation (getting him to buy brackets that didn't work and wheels that had insufficient backspace for his lift), attempts to get him to buy stuff he didn't need (like axle sleeves), and incomplete shipments.

To each there own, I'm just expressing my own personal experience with Trail Jeeps. They were responsive, took the time to talk to me and get to know me, and treated me like I was important to them as a customer and as somebody with whom they would like to spend time on the trail rather than just a source of money.

That is bad. Based on your experience I would have gone elsewhere too. I do agree that venders should earn your business. Good luck on the new build.
 
Northridge has earned my business on mine and my wife's jeep. They have made me very happy this far. Been dealing with Maxx for well over a year now, and he always gives me the best deals possible. If Northridge carries it I buy it from them.
