I'm guessing you would be the guy to know. Is the k9 trained to do that? Completely cover/protect his partner in the event he goes down? Or is that just love? Either way, that's awesome!

That's funny! I have a friend who won a flex contest in his f350 super duty for basically that very reason. It was so long, and the frame twisted so much, he got the furthest on the rti ramp. Not fair.

Not typically a trained behavior. Could be simple pack mentality bonding. could actually be a dominance behavior, but that is not likely to be tolerated by a decent handler, I'm guessing bonding. Makes for a great photo either way
