JR's Build Thread

As of last weekend, I traded in my 2011 JK Sport also know as JP. 3 years into my build and 81,000 miles later, I decided it was time to upgrade… Seeing as though I am about to leave the South Carolina mud behind me at the end of May and make my journey to living in Palmdale, CA to work on Edwards AFB, I decided to upgrade JP to JR (2014 JK Rubicon)…

The only things that I left on JP when I traded him in was the bushwacker fenders, RC stubby bumper, winch, and a hybrid 4 inch lift (Teraflex 2.5 spacers and JKUR coils)… I was able to swap the small Rubicon wheel/tire package for my 315/70/17 Duratracs with about 10k miles on them along with keep the EVO D ring mounts, and various other parts…

Below is my build sheet and route that I would like to take with JR… Keep in mind, I am coming from mud baths to real trails with rocks so anyone with experience… Please let me know what else I should consider! This is a whole new ball game and this is only my 2nd Jeep so I am still pretty much a novice!

and to get this build started out right... its time to chop the fenders and temporarily chomp the factory bumper!

Next step is the front bumper and winch! Once I get out to Cali and get settled then comes the lift from EVO!

I'm still tossing around the idea of 37s.... I haven't decided yet hence why I put the 1310. Sooooo many factors to think about!

You cut those fenders pretty good. Looks real good for being trimmed narrow. I like the back especially. Jeep looks good! What winch you going with?

I don't have it on here but it's on my build sheet at work - good place for it lol.

I had a quadratec q9500 on my old jeep which I really liked and used it a few times so will probably go that route again.

Coming along VERY nicely! I usually don't like thin cut fenders, but they look beast on yours! :thumb:

at first when i saw his tape lines i was  then i scrolled down and saw how they looked on his jeep and i was  .
looking forward to seeing the lift on also.

Subscribed! Those Duratracs look extra beefy on your rig! I love them and I love how they look with the thin cut fenders! Everything looks awesome! Let me know how you like the Rancho 9000's!
