2012 seats

Hey guys,

I want to upgrade my front seats to mastercraft baja... how can i do this? everyone i spoke to 4 wheel parts, northridge, all said i cant because of air bag sensor, someone must have figured out a wire to jumper or something to make this possible for new jeeps...

anyone got a place for me to look?

thanks!

I've put the seats in my 2012, but didn't do anything for the airbag light. It's still on, not sure what the downfall is for having the light on. But the seats are so much better then the stock seats.

If the light is on the airbags won't deploy in a collision

Just called Corbeau they told me guys are wirering in resistors to trick the computer to think someone is sitting in the seat...

trying to google it now searching all the forums i found a thread on JKowners a while ago cant find it now :(

someone has deffinatly found a fix for this I just need to find them to tell me! haha

Really? Shit I didn't know they all wouldn't deploy if the light was on. That sucks, hopefully someone knows something.

Yup, the airbag light was on in my wife's CR-V, so I ran the codes and found that the left front seatbelt buckle (female end) was bad. It's related to the SRS system so the seatbelts can also cause the light to come on. The reason they won't deploy is because it's a fail safe since the light is indicating a fault in the system.

I have the Mastercraft baja RS's in my 2012 and have not had a problem. I reinstalled the dildo thingy on the passenger side and all the sensors from the drivers side and all is good, no lights no codes.

So did you pull everything out of your old seats? I used the grey plug and the seat belt plug but the tan plug that went into the seat wasn't used. The only light that stays on is the airbag for me. I'm curious how to relay that and the seat belt light once I install the 5-point harness belts.

I did, I don't remember the color of the plugs, I did the install two years ago.

Everything that was plugged in I moved to the new seats installed them and plugged it all back in.

So far that sounds like a good option pull the old seats apart take all the electronic crap and throw it under the new seats!

Also read take a multi meter check the resistance between the wires for the air bag sensor get your number go buy a resistor of that size and put it between the two wires on the plug and it will trick the computer to thinking the sensor is there and your good to go without installing everything...

So I guess I have my answers there are two ways around it time to order up some Corbeau Baja SS seats!! and finish my custom cage! so much work so little time haha
