Hinrichs build

the Facotory Half doors look great in the text you sent me but they look amazing on the computer! cant wait to see them in person this weekend!

This statement alone means that you sir come from an AWESOME FAMILY:thumb::yup:

oh and i tried to PM back but your inbox is full!

Cleaned out the inbox....and I was the one who got her to get the jeep, we had a Audi Q7 before this, and shes happier in the jeep than she was in the audi, it had the same options and the hemi really helps.

Your rig is really turning out nice! :thumb: I had a chance to get half doors when I bought my Jeep … and I scoffed at them. If I only knew then … :grayno:

thanks don, halfs were the one thing that I wish I would have gotten at first.

Man, that looks great! Is it a big improvement over your original sfz doors? Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

You can't really compare them. Well the sfz doors were great for what they were. If I lived out west or somewhere it was nice and dryer I would have never sold them since they are super light and can be thrown in the back when you get to the trails.

Oem was what I always wanted and lucked out with the chance to be able to buy a set so I jumped on it. I was going to get the rugged ridge doors but for what I spent on these oem other than paint, it would have been the same cost so it made more sense to have oem, plus I can sell them easily if I need the extra money.

Hey Jim, back on post 1267, are you getting rust already on your ORE side skins or is that red dirt in the logo cutout?

That's a bummer. Can you take them off and repaint them? Not sure how messy that would be if you used some sealant behind them.

Yeah I plan to do that soon actually, I know steve re-painted his as well, I didn't seal them yet either since I knew id pull them off eventually.

i plan on pulling mine off at some point this summer and having them repowdercoated. i used RTV all the wayy around them so its going to be a pain pulling them off but worth if it i never see a spec of rust on them ever again lol

Thanks, and good luck guys! I wonder if the powder is thin in that area because of all the corners? If you could debur any areas on the logo cutout that were rough, you might have better luck getting a thicker layer of paint or powdercoat in that area.

Anyway, Steve try Goof Off to remove the sealant. I've yet to run into the glue that can withstand that.

Forgot to take pics of the carnage from Saturdays run, but managed to rip the bushing out of my steering stabilizer (reinstalled that this weekend luckily but still need a new one) also put a good dent in my front diff cover (trying to decide on which replacement still, and broke the clip on my winch hook so ill order the prolink soon enough.

Finally installed my front evo trackbar bracket and went back to the oem trackbar finally so I can sell both of the adjustable jks ones. Issue now is that I didn't get to flip the draglink, and now it is super flightly and scary to drive.

Well this was almost too easy, just can't tell work haha don't wanna go back in.

When you zoom in you can see my sweet dented factory diff cover mod.

Seeing the factory diff take a hit makes me feel good. Diff covers are on my short list, but won't be on my rig before I'm up at Rausch this coming Saturday.
