Death Valley Wildflowers Camping Trip 2014

You can add me to the list there is just the slightest chance I won't be able to make it. I am thinking of working half day and then heading up. Waiting for Moochie to reply to my PM to know for sure...Dinner at your usual late time or early dinner?

Adding you to the list now.

As far as dinner goes, not sure. I guess it'll depend on what is open.

Man, wish I could make this trip. Would be cool to get ENVY on some dirt before she grows up. Unfortunately or fortunately, I have a super rare opportunity to stay overnight on the USS Midway in San Diego with my son. Not wheeling, but a pretty cool adventure in its own right. I'll be seeing you soon on the Rubicon though. :thumb:

I just checked the weather again and it looks like it's gonna be real nice this weekend with highs in the upper 80's and lows in the upper 50's. :thumb:

wish I could make it,:crybaby: its been along time since ive been to death valley. but its that time of year again

Bummer. Don't know about AZ but it's gonna be a hell of a fire season in CA this year too. Be safe out there.

Hey everyone, I know this is all very last minute and all but, I just saw an article in a local paper that in spite of the drought, there's a decent showing of wildflowers out in Death Valley right now. Needless to say, Cindy and I are planning to head out there this weekend to see them and do some camping as well. The plan is to meet up in Big Pine early Saturday morning and head out to the Eureka Sand Dunes where the Evening Primrose is supposed to be real nice right now. From there, we will head up into the Saline Valley and then up to the Race Tracks where we will setup camp. On Sunday, we will head out Lee Flat where the Joshua Trees are supposed to be in full bloom as well and then make our way back to the 359 and home. The only requirements you will need to have are tow points front and rear. I will post up more details as soon as I can.

As always I wish i could :grayno:, have a great time. :thumb:

BTW, here's a shot of Moochie doing a little racetrack rock sliding...
