Don't drink and drive

With Xmas upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my friends about drinking and driving. As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" with friends. Well two days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had more than several beers followed by a couple of bottles of some rather nice red wine.
Although feeling jolly I still had the sense to know that I may be slightly over the limit.
That's when I did something that I've never done before - I took a cab.
Sure enough on the way home there was a police roadblock but since it was a cab they waved it past and I arrived home safely without incident.
This was a real surprise, as I had never driven a cab before, I don't know where I got it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it.
So if you want to borrow it give me a call

What started off as a tear for someone doing the right thing quickly turned into a river from laughing so hard.. That one was spot-on perfect,Ed!

We are Jeep..Resistance is futile..

Great advice Ed. I have personally lost a friend/ work partner to a drunk driving collision. Not worth it. That is the true reason not to drive drunk!

I took a bus yesterday.
Apparently, you need a special driving permit on top of being sober.

:D

All kidding aside.......we ran a 2 car MVA on the Sawgrass Expressway nearly 4 weeks ago involving a wrong way driver who was heavily intoxicated......The 20 y/o female driver drove head on into another vehicle killing the 21 y/o female passenger instantly.....we cut the 20 y/o female driver out of the vehicle and had her flown out to the trauma center but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries 4 days later........the wrong way driver survived the crash and is facing several charges including 2 counts of DUI manslaughter........her life is essentially over.......Sorry for expounding on this with this downer of a story but if this makes someone.....anyone.....think twice about getting behind the wheel or allowing a friend to get behind the wheel after having one too many then it's served it purpose......This WAYALIFE community is now over 10,000 members.......I'd would hate to hear about one of us losing their life to something that could've been prevented........Drink responsively......have a DD.....Or take a cab.......just don't TAKE the cab........Stay safe out there my friends

Happy Holidays

for those of you who dont know how much is to much just follow my rule of thumb, 1 beer or more dont drive.:driving: it may be a little to cautious and could you drive on one beer? sure i bet you could and you prob arent even driving drunk, but hey at least your not even risking it! have fun, enjoy life and above all stay safe my friends! merry christmas to all and to all a good drink!!! :thumb::beer::grouphug::honey:

My Mother was killed in Chula Vista by a drunk driver completely out of control, please don't drink and drive!

Sorry to hear that Pastor. I'm sure Ed meant this all in fun and not to get anything started. We should all know by now what drinking and driving leads to. Those of us in public service see it a little closer and a little more often than most
