Rigid A pillar lights; what model/pattern?

I have a pretty decent video I shot to show how bright they really are. I will upload it to YouTube here in a bit.

I have Driving pattern d2's and they are fantastic. I have truck-lites now and a 10" rigid bar on the way for the bumper.

Here are some pics I took with the stock headlamps, and my D2's

Nice comparison. Are the last few pictures with the trucklites as well or stock headlights and a pillars?

Thanks

Damn thats impressive! And do you have an spod? Howd you wire them up

Yup, makes wiring easy. I attached the rigid harness to the lights and then cut the relay and switch part off and ran power to the spod source. I installed it at lunch time at work one day... :)

Looks great. How much does that model cost/which model and options did you choose?

Thanks

That's the spod with the hole for the aeroforce tech gauge. That gauge is and additional cost if you want it. Beyond that I also changed the rocker switches out for custom laser etched ones from OTRATTW.com check them out on Facebook for new releases not on their site. They have tons of rockers and also ones that are two color/led if you want. I preferred those since they match what the switch will do and look cool. Some are funny too like alien lights or Sasquatch or zombie lights or my personal favorite below.

DO NOT use floods on your A pillar.

Floods belong down low, like in the bumper. Driving are for A pillar, and spot are for roof. Get the driving D2s and you'll be very happy.

Ok, thank you for your input. I am leaning towards the driving pattern. Would flood be good to put in place of fog lights?

I have the floods for fog lights. They work well. They are a little recessed into my bumper though.

Not really because they will blind everyone, but then again, so will any pattern. Floods would be great in the fog location as far as light output (offroad) but if use them on the road, expect to get highbeamed every 10 seconds. None of the rigids are suitable for on road use. However, if you are asking ONLY in terms of usable light, then yes, flood would work well in the fog location.

Do you think the amber (yellow) colored d2's would be a better option then as fogs or would you still have the same issue?

Same issue. Light would hit people dead in the eyes. Besides you can buy amber covers for the white ones so that you have the best of both worlds. There are a number of people running duallys in their fogs. If you have the discipline to run them offroad or terrible weather only, then you can run em in the fogs. If you want to be able to drive around with them on, then you'd piss off a bunch of people.
