I had the Nitto's and now I have the Duratracs. Both are great tires and are about equal when it comes to offroad capability but the Duratracs are better in the snow and on the road. I have a little over 15k on the tracs now and they are wearing great.
I currently am running 35" General Grabbers and love em. If I move up to 37s, I will likely run the Nitto Trail Grapplers. I saw an article shortly after I bought my JK that had a review on tires (2012, I want to say JP Mag did the review) and Nitto Trail Grapplers and General Grabbers where among the two best performing in all categories (snow, sand, mud, rock, etc).
This looks like the online article:
JP Magazine Tire Review March 2012
I have run a lot if different tires over the years and have to say that Nitto Trail Grapplers or Toyo MTs are the best for what you are looking for. Of all the tires I have run, Goodyear MT/R's have been the worst. Hard to balance, tracks funny and have really weak sidewalls.
Have you run TG's without bead locks? From what I have read the stiff/thick sidewalls that they have don't work that well with normal non bead lock wheels.
New MTR's ...best tire in the rocks that also has to work on the street dry-rain or snow.

Love my MTR's as well. I've had them in 35's and 37's. great on the rocks.
I have them on non-beadlocks. They work fine in a full or aired down scenario. Great tire.
How far down do you call full aired down? What wheels do you have?
How's the tread wear been on the trail grapplers?
Anyone have experiences w the mud grapplers?
