What’s so special about that diff fluid?

it's in French

Got the rear diff fluid done. Took some work to get to the cover bolts. Diff Skid and heat shield for the spare to be removed. Oil was clean after 30k miles but figured it was time. Diff fluid for this truck was a pain in the ass to get at the normal price. Local dealer did not have it and it was $40 a quart

French on the bottle is extra.

Not according to my VIN. Was about to buy that one but figured let me call the dealer and here it was.
I am sure it would have worked just fine but I am still at the warranty range so figured I’ll do it right.
May be it has some confit in it

I assume nothing other than being heigh efficiency spec. BS to make us pay more. If I were to buy it from a local dealer I would have paid $240 plus tax for both ends. Also not many ship to my zip. NYC I guess. Had it shipped by a dealer from Las Vegas for about $140 all in. Also this is not your standard 75x90 as you can see on the bottle.

Stupid. Those gears aren't any different than any other.
