VIDEO : What Happened to Moby & What Next

Any update on Moby yet?
Actually, yeah. As you can see, Moby has been torn down and ready for his new engine.

Kalan is ready to get going on him but is wrapping up another customer's build who is also doing the L8P. He's working on the transmission tune and is hoping to get that figured out and wrapped up soon. Assuming all goes well with it, we should be able to move forward with things.

Wow, that’s great. Will he be ready before summer?

Glad to hear it! Hoping to see Moby in action again this summer!

Nice to see forward progress. Excited to hear how the new motor works out.

In the past, I’ve seen sliders cut off for engine swaps. I always assumed they did this to fit the lift in between the tub and the frame. Did they not need to cut them this time?

Not that it matters, I welded mine on once, I can do it again, just curious.

Yup, we've had that done a couple of times in the past. Apparently, their lift was able to get to the pinch seams and lift from there.
