Auxilary fuel tanks?

I spoke to an installer in Texas; he's put in several and hasn't had any returned with issues.

Didn't get it installed but they seem to do the job.

Any reason why you need that much extra fuel and want to carry that much extra weight?
To go for a weekend or longer without back tracking to town for fuel. This jeep only gets about 250 miles at conservative highway speeds. I got about 100 miles on 2/3rd of a tank on Rim Rocker between Montrose and Moab.

I found this Auxilary fuel tank. https://longrangeamerica.com/produc...allon-auxiliary-extended-long-range-fuel-tank

Does anyone gave any feedback on this company or tank?

I hate fuel anxiety on longer offroading trips and I would prefer not to carry jerry cans.

Thanks
Have done plenty of tanks from LRA. Mainly install them in Toyotas and the new Grenadier. They are a nice tank and they give you all the parts you need for the install. Instructions are not the greatest tho

A four gallon rotopax is $140.
Kind of what I was thinking.
Yea I'd throw a couple of these on before I'd spend $2800 on an aux tank. Put the extra cash towards something else.
Can't imagine spending that kind of money and always having to carry that much extra weight just to alleviate range anxiety the couple of times a year that you don't want to include a gas stop along your route. But hey, that's just me.
