Usually do Octoberfest but haven't done the Jeeping With Judd event. That said it is a huge event and usually pretty crowded from some of the videos I've seen over the years. Should have good vendor support.I am going to meet my father at Jeepin with Judd the weekend of February 20. Around Orlando FL area. Is anyone going or have they gone before? Hoping it will be a fun event.
Did you remember to test to verify it works for when you need it?They require a fire extinguisher so I ordered the element one. Honestly will probably order a couple more. Installed with zip ties driver side rear.

They are kind of expensive, but the sparkler only works for the number of seconds indicated on the side so you would need to get on the fire right away, and get close to it.It works kinda like a flare. Pull the cap and strike it to start it and then point at fire.
I have thought about using a system like I had in the racecar but it's overkill. Something similar to this:They are kind of expensive, but the sparkler only works for the number of seconds indicated on the side so you would need to get on the fire right away, and get close to it.
I have an Element, but have looked at "Purple K" traditional extinguishers (does not destroy the wiring), and even Halon/HalGuard. To me, HalGuard seems best.

That is an interesting idea, but complex and expensive. If a fire starts in the engine bay, the Jeep could be totalled in just a minute, or a few minutes. A fire control system which automatically responds almost instaneously would be useful.I have thought about using a system like I had in the racecar but it's overkill. Something similar to this:

They have automated systems but they are expensive. These are actually pretty simple. Manually activated but have nozzles under the hood and on the interior. You or a passenger can activate without having to get out of vehicle and also put a release handle on the cowl and someone outside the vehicle can release it. Hmmmm, maybe later in the year i'll mount one up.....I think I have enough parts left over to make a decent system. They do make a mess though. Might need to check out more modern setups. That is an interesting idea, but complex and expensive. If a fire starts in the engine bay, the Jeep could be totalled in just a minute, or a few minutes. A general purpose fire extinguisher is handy for any small fire which starts in the periphery of the Jeep.
That's a lot of overthinking, do regular maintenance and pay attention to the leaks and you have will likely never use the fire extinguisher. They have automated systems but they are expensive. True...i've never needed one before. I only put the Element in because they require an extinguisher for this event. I may put a regular ABC later for giggles but I almost never pass up a rabbit hole to go down LMAOThat's a lot of overthinking, do regular maintenance and pay attention to the leaks and you have will likely never use the fire extinguisher.
I keep a regular ABC and an Element in the Jeep, ABC for grass fires if needed and the element for engine bay, I've replaced the ABC because of age but have never used either.
I think the rabbit hole is every old man's demon, I've left mine in the shed for my daughter to deal with after I'm gone lolTrue...i've never needed one before.
