Tioga pass is maybe the most beautiful road in California. Used to love driving that. Take it straight out west and you’ll pass my old house.

Good to know, part of my issue is I’ve always been oh I’ll go then or later and never plan it lol

Yosemite is quickly becoming one of my favorite, if not my favorite National Park.
The scenery is amazing. The way the valley is nestled in glacier carved mountains and the way they loom overhead. Due to this the direct sun exposure into the valley is for a limited period of the day, however that actually adds to the beauty because of the way the shadows color the rocks.
The downside is the park seems like it’s always full of tourists, but I guess that’s just the price one pays.
I am really looking forward to many returns and doing lots of hiking here. If you have never been here I highly recommend it.

I have to admit, this downside is the biggest reason why we stopped visiting. Even with reservations that you have to make during peak season or off season when you can just go in, it's still just stupid crowded and on a level I find unbearable. Even well into my late 20s to early 30s, it was never as obscenely bad as it is these days. It's such a shame.
OH, it also sucks that National Parks do not allow dogs. This is another reason why we never go anymore.

I've given up on so many places now because of this. Seems like things got way worse when social media blew up.
THIS ^^^^ for sure! And, what's really crazy is that a vast majority of the people at National Parks aren't even American. Not gonna lie, I kind of feel like they should be required to pay a higher fee to get in.
