If you read anything about the general attitude of the American population in the years leading up to the first civil war it was very similar. First hand accounts talk about people moving back to their native states to be near their families. The tension was palpable and each side looked at each other with disdain. Lots of similarities.

Obama was awarded the Nobel peace prize in 2009 "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.", and Al Gore received it in 2007 for his climate change agenda. We all see how much better the world is because of these two. This award has become meaningless.Surprise!! not
