2025 RAM 2500 HD : First Impressions

RE: seats, any chance you could upgrade soon off of a salvage late-model Ram of a more expensive trim package?

Sweet truck!!!

Is it just me or are modern day seats just too short? They hit me mid-thigh and dont support your legs enough. On long trips can get really uncomfortable

To me, I think everyone changed the angle of the seat portion. I hated it in my Explorer Sport, and it was a higher trim package.
I hated the JT too, then I heard about Seat Jackers, tried them, and the change in angle of the seat made a HUGE improvement.

they did, measured the JL against the JK and they are shorter and also angled the opposite direction if you adjust the height.
first I tried the seat extenders to allow them to slide back further, helped a little but when I installed the seat jackers, much better.

I'll be removing the extenders and using only the seat jackers

I deleted my 2023 ram mega cab. Look up dirty diesel customs. That’s who I used. They don’t have anything out for the 2025 yet but they will. I deleted it myself also which was pretty easy. Just a tuner, unplug a few things under the hood and remove the crazy exhaust and bolt/weld a new one on. Your fuel mileage will go WAY up. I’m driving a gmc right now but I will be getting a new ram 3500 in February for sure.

Eddie you probably already know. But there's 2 fuel filters on the Cummins motors or there was on my 3500. One was around $300, it can be changed every other oil change. And the spare doesn't have a tpms on it, at least my 3500 didn't have one on the spare.

Change fuel filters every oil change there are two $120 for both from Donaldson.
Definitely cost savings with DIY, when my Dad takes his 3500 to the dealer for oil/filter and fuel filter change it’s around $600 to get out of there.

The really expensive one I actually changed it every 3rd oil change. I had a extra 115 gallon tank in the bed that had a filter from it to main tank. When I didn't have a camper hooked to the truck, I could fill up in Kingman and go all the way back to Elkhart IN before I needed to fill up again

LOL - well son of a bitch. Went to pull my dump trailer today and got the following message on the EVIC.

After doing some looking around, I noticed that the minus button on the gain control was stuck in the pushed in position.

I tried tapping at it and looked to see if there was any way to pull it out but no go :(

Needless to say, I guess I need to take this truck with just 1500 miles on the odometer into the dealership

Sucks to waist time at the dealer. Had the same message on my truck which turned out an update to the trail break module was needed.
