Once all of the scores were compiled, the study found that the best states to live in were Massachusetts, Idaho, New Jersey, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
With the caption of Idaho which I’m not sure these are all liberal hell holes. Maybe folks can start moving out of Nevada so I can buy a second home there without breaking the bank. Unfortunately it’s probably Californians moving there driving prices up and making it unbearable for normal people.

It is amazing that state ratings can be accurately evaluated using statistical numbers in a spreadsheet by the albino nose pickers at WalletHub.

They fail to understand really important things, such that Texas's low home ownership rate might imply that it's citizens can not afford to own a home (the actual case), but instead they give it a pretty good score for affordability.

Regardless, we should all agree that Nevada (a fly-over state) is a harsh forbidding place (one of the worst on the planet) and no one should try to live there. True to form, the WalletHub nose pickers failed to understand the true danger of Nevada in that in most of the state's land area, if your car breaks down, you are likely to perish. But they do accurately identify that Massachusetts is where people should move to.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. People like this are right up there with pedophiles and left lane hogs. Scum.
 
Hmmm, some of the finest people I know or have ever known come from three of those bottom five. Some of the biggest fucking assholes I know or have ever known come from two of those top five. One of them will even straight up tell that they are and will remain Massholes to keep others away.
So when we were trying to make the break, that little thing called quality of life is what we were seeking in Nevada. What came as a shock was that the main area that we were considering had higher housing prices than where we live in the Central Valley. And it’s awful damn expensive here.
The rest of the family that was going to migrate with us has since kind of developed cold feet, so I guess where the granddaughter is is where we’ll call home.
 
Having lived in both Nevada (ranked one of the worst) and now in Idaho (ranked one of the best), I can unequivocally say that all of the C.O.W.s should choose Nevada over Idaho. ;)

I didn't think highly of Prescott when my parents retired to Cottonwood in 96. They finally gave up on AZ altogether & moved back to Granbury TX (i grew up near there) in 2004. There was a generally shitty quality to the people who migrated to the verde valley area, even back then.

Just curious. And honestly please. When has Prescott not been ruined? Seems since the early aughts (20+ years ago) when mlb and the Cactus League took a strong hold it’s been a done deal. Yea, one could argue another influx in the last 5 years. But it’s fate has been sealed for a few decades now. lol

We'll we certainly don't want any more. If they just go a couple more states over to Colorado, or even better, New Mexico! Those states are too far gone. At least there's still hope for us.

It's sad how much AZ has changed, just even in the last 20 years. Went from a solid red state to two D senators and a D governor.

At least your state legislature is still good. The only thing protecting my state right now is our governor, and there's only so much he can do.

The Californians need to come and wash the toilets and faucets in New Mexico. They are too damn filthy! Also, hopefully they can repair the many toilets which are covered with black plastic, or don't flush. I don't think that is too much to ask.

There is a lot of opportunity for Californians in New Mexico, and toilet maintenance is one of those opportunities.
