The main used a ‘throw out’ pilot chute.

The reserve was last packed in 1996.

The reserve pilot chute spring has been compressed since 1996 and still flew about 6 feet when deployed. Once again proving that springs do not wear out from being compressed, they wear out from being cycled.

You should go test it out, no need to inspect it… it’s fine 👍
