Why New Members Require Admin Approval

In spite of what so many choose to believe, Cindy and I did NOT create WAYALIFE to make money. This forum is simply our home on the internet and a place where we can hang out with friends, have a good time and help out where we can.

That said, I got multiple emails this morning from a guy who is pissed off that we manually approve new member registrations and you can see them below:

sufficient privelages​

I just joined the forum and saw a post a guy needs an oem fender which I have and would be happy to send him for free. Jeeps are a brotherhood. I was very disappointed to see I dont have sufficient privelages. I used to own and am now retired from the sale of my Forum for high performance boaters. I created a pay membership for $20, $50, and $75 a year and the results were comical. Please tell me that you are not the guy I watch the videos all the time because if you are the membership here should be growing at a rate where the graph is almost vertical and restricting posts for the reason forum owners often do I would think doesnt make any sense. The number of Jeeps on the planet is probably 1000 times larger than high perf boats and with your head start on the videos you should be killing it and retiring like I did. A public company made me an offer I had to think about for half of a heart beat before i accepted. Now I live eat and breath Jeeps. Let me know I can help you light this thing on fire, its not hard people are pretty common :) glad to be here

50K MEMBERS and admin approval to register​

How did you get to that size being a control freak, you must have a lot of one hit wonders. wow you could have made yourself some real money.

you dont have to bother approving my registration, you lose peoples interest.

of all the forums I have visited, admin apporval with 50k members, now thats funny


Funny as it may seem to some, Cindy and I manually approve accounts because we've found it to be the single best way to keep spammers off the forum. We do realize it may be inconvenient for some to have to wait to gain access to the forum but hope you can be understanding of the fact that we're trying our hardest to keep this place free of stupidness and AD FREE for our members.
 
$20 membership gets you access to the grade 8 hardware mod and the used motor oil undercoat threads.
$50 membership gives you unlimited access to sell your take off parts for way above fair market value.

According to advertisements on YouTube, VPNs make you safe. They assure that no intermediary can see the data transferred via https and ssh connections.

Most web browsers do not use actual DNS anymore. Instead they use secure connections to cloud-based proxies which know much more about the resource being accessed such as if it supports https, and even if it is currently down.
