Ive got the same motor trans and gears combo you have. I thought the 4.88s with the 37s was a little much for regular road driving. Doing an axle swap now and kept the 4.88s after talking to robbie and kalen and i think it will be a good fit for the eventual move to 40s. You will by no means be sad with the 4.88 / 37s combo and the majority of times i felt it was over geared was from a stop and mashing the skinny pedal 1st would redline very fast. If a let off for a half second then put my foot back in it, it would accelerate like no jeep should LOL. While off roading with it, i had a few times trying to power my way up stuff that it would red line and kill power for a split second which was awkward but getting used to the tap shift is helping that (this is my first auto trans in a jeep). If you already have 4.88s i dont know that i would go through the trouble of re gearing to 4.56. If it is convenient timing with other axle work then maybe but the difference between the two is pretty small. Id personally stick with the 4.88s and feel it out for a bit just knowing at times those RPMs are going to climb quickly.
