What's your view like at work?

We're renting space in a hangar we're sharing with others until our new hangar is built. I get to see this everyday

It's a replica powered by a carbureted 351 Windsor. It hasn't been driven all winter and the owner is working on getting tuned up for the summer. Yes, the sidepipes are real!

The 1st one of these trailers they ordered left out Thursday morning. He was heading somewhere in Wisconsin to load Monday morning, then heading to Utah. The center is 60' long and they have another 10' section for it. That's $900k worth of trailer leaving.

Ever since I was a young teenager my plan was to build one when I could afford it. Later on I ended up becoming friends with a guy that owned an original 427 and a replica that he claimed was faster than the original. He had a buddy that owned an original GT40 and they'd terrorize the highways after midnight. He brought the replica to my shop one evening I was working late and let me drive it all around for a couple hours. That's when the adage "with absolute power comes absolute responsibility" hit home. I know there are faster cars, but I still haven't driven anything that fast or anywhere near as exhilarating as that was. I'd be a total idiot if I owned one of these. Just so damn badass
