Ran a couple weeks with the top and doors off in the desert and now I'm having a hard time finding a good way to get all the desert back out where it belongs. Just wondering if there are any trade secrets that any of you guys have.

swiffer and a wet rag....I would like to know also if there is another way to make the interior look new again

Yeah, me too. I don't really like armorall, it attracts too much Damn dust.

I use a lint free rag to get the majority of the dust out then use an air compressor to get all the tough spots that I couldn't get with the rag. Then Armorall cleaning wipes but not the ones that leave the dash shiny.

One thing I've learned is don't wipe the dust with a damp rag because it turns to mud and gets in all the tiny cracks. If that happens it takes alot of scrubbing with a clean terri-cloth type damp rag. :twocents:

The air compressor does alot to get all the bits out. Also a shop vac is very handy also.

I like to go mudding with it all off. The seats unbolt real easy. Take them out and the carpet is just tucked and velcoed down so that come out easy. Pressure wash the carpet & seats. then use an air compressor to take care of the dash and floorboards. Wipe dash down with armor all and put it all back together. This only takes about an hour to do unless you need to keep your seats out longer to dry.

I start with a California duster, then hit it with the air compressor, duster again, meguiares wipes, canned air for the cracks and a touch up with another wipe. If I'm in a hurry I just use the duster and a couple wipes.

I clean from the top down and I use AUTO MAGIC POWER FOAM and a fiber cloth. Works on the dash and on fabric, if its really bad id also power wash the seats and carpet and then use the shop vac on it. All in all I can usually get the inside looking bran new again.

After power washing the seats air dry don't make the cloth stink? Just wondering. Mine needs power washed inside and out?

Microfiber towels with some kind of mist spray. Be it windex, armor all, water, whatever. It works and is what I use while running odorless.

I like the armor all and the greasy film it leaves because it makes it easy to wipe the new dirt off if you keep up on it.

I'm also pretty curious about that, I was orginally just gonna spray down the seats and carpets but that's what steered me away.

Ive only power washed my rear seats and haven't had an issue with them smelling. If they do end up smelling I know they make cloth cleaners that have diff scents ill have to find out the name of the ones we use at work for detailing cars

I know for a fact that you can power wash the carpet and have no issue. I did this to my gf's carpet in her 08 after she spilled milk in it and the carpet looks bran new again

As far as the dash goes I use this.

I'm not a huge fan of Armor All Products. But I tried this and at least in my opinion has kept my dash looking like it did in the showroom. Does NOT give it that constant "Wet" look. Worth a shot IMO.

Also I vaccum my carpets regularly and once every other month I pull the floor liners and vaccum them with my Hoover :D Gets all the little stuff out that usually gets stuck in the bends, cracks, and near the edges by the trim panels.

Don't know if this is what you were looking for. But figured I'd pass on what has at least worked for me. Good luck!

That's what I have and use.

i hit the interior with my air compressor first, then i vacuum real quik and then air compressor again! i then use blue shop paper towels with windex to pick up the left over dust and then finish the dash areas with Maguires spray....

if my seats/carpets are too dirty/muddy, I use my lil mini steam cleaner (bissel green machine) to clean them after the air-vacuum-air process.
