Moab EJS 2023

I had planned to pick up a couple of chairs at Buc-ee’s, however I also realized I forgot a camp table so I bought one of those too.

A fool and his money soon part….

Between the table and my chair I should have plenty of space to store drinks. 😉

You can't go to buc-ees and not buy a bunch of stuff lol. I wish there was one near me.

Departing Farmington, NM and headed to the Four Corners Monument.

While I was in the Mex restaurant some locals ducked my Jeep. I walked out while they were in the act. Nice people with a cool Jeep.C5AF3CFD-8B8C-4F05-95FB-7B6F11CB521B.jpeg

Headed west on Hwy 64 towards the town of Shiprock. If you look to the left of the bridge you can see the mountain of the same name on the horizon. At times it looks like a giant castle rising up out of the desert.

The views are incredible and snow covered mountains can be seen to the north and west.

Damn I wish I would have read this thread more thoroughly today. I could have met up with you. I live in Farmington. Good luck and safe travels to Moab. I’m there every day. Lol. No trip to the reservation would be complete without Frybread. Apparently this stuff is world famous. How can I say no?

You have your wife with you and you give us shitty good pictures? Disappointed. I thought you were by yourself at first. I expect better going forward.

After Four Corners and the delicious frybread I headed to Bluff. This is a very historic town built in a canyon. The story of how the original settlers arrived is epic.

Another Jeeper with some cool stickers.

Epic Four Wheeler trip for its day. Slick Rock received its name due to the metal wheels of the pioneer wagons slipping on the rock.

The fort has been reconstructed to represent as accurately as possible the original. Many family members of the original pioneers are involved in maintaining the site. This wagon is composed largely of original parts.

Thank God I did not go to school here.

Arrived in Monticello just in time for dinner. The town sits on the east slope of the mountain and has a great view.

Stopped here for Tacos al Pastor. Yeah, I love me some Mexican food.

Great food and super friendly.

Unfortunately they had an issue with their liquor license. 😢

Luckily I brought my own. 😉
