Hey guys you better check on Saxon for coming back down. I think it’s closed so you will have to come down Lamartine. Just take a look
Appreciate the heads up man. I know they have been working on that one quite a bit recently. Spring Creek is the only one on the menu for tomorrow anyway.Hey guys you better check on Saxon for coming back down. I think it’s closed so you will have to come down Lamartine. Just take a look
I would like to go but need to get some things sorted on the jeep and not sure the wife would go for it after going to run black bear and engineer this month already.9/17: Camping near trailhead
9/18: Blanca Peak Trail, camping
9/19: Medano Pass out thru the sand dunes
Two rigs so far…
I hear ya. I hope to see your Jeep some time soon with all the new stuff on it.I would like to go but need to get some things sorted on the jeep and not sure the wife would go for it after going to run black bear and engineer this month already.
The sad part is I still have a pile of parts to go on it. I slapped together what I needed to for the black bear trip and the rest went on the back burner.I hear ya. I hope to see your Jeep some time soon with all the new stuff on it.

Going. Can't wait. Weather should be on our side and looks like a "small" group. Bonus.Getting close to last call
Blanca Peak has been on the radar for quite a while. I'm jealous.Figured boardsurfer would break away and come north and join us on this one.![]()
I threw it out there awhile back and Tom took the bait. Nothing like adventure of a new trail.Blanca Peak has been on the radar for quite a while. I'm jealous.
Pics or it didn't happen....Blanca Peak far exceeded my expectations. HIGHLY recommend anyone putting this on their bucket list of trails to run in Colorado. the Jaws obstacles are challenging and a couple of them will have you out of your Jeep to look them over wondering how you are going to tackle them. Out and back trail, so you get to do them in return direction. For comparison/reference, if you found Chinaman Gulch or Holy Cross or Spring Creek fun, then buckle up for this one. Is more challenging. And a rewarding view at the lake at the top!

Wish I could have made the trip but it didn't work out for me.
Looks like we have some snow in the high country today, season may be wrapping up soon. Any trail runs on the higher up trails may need to happen in the next few weeks guys.
Awesome! How bad was Jaws 2? I still haven’t ran this trail. It kind of spooks me. I’ve ran Cliffhanger, Black Bear and Schofield (Devil’s Punchbowl) but this looks spooky.Blanca Peak far exceeded my expectations. No more pucker factor than those you mentioned. But definitely a trail worth running if you liked those.Awesome! How bad was Jaws 2? I still haven’t ran this trail. It kind of spooks me. I’ve ran Cliffhanger, Black Bear and Schofield (Devil’s Punchbowl) but this looks spooky.
