Hey guys you better check on Saxon for coming back down. I think it’s closed so you will have to come down Lamartine. Just take a look

9/17: Camping near trailhead
9/18: Blanca Peak Trail, camping
9/19: Medano Pass out thru the sand dunes

Two rigs so far…
I would like to go but need to get some things sorted on the jeep and not sure the wife would go for it after going to run black bear and engineer this month already.

Blanca Peak far exceeded my expectations. HIGHLY recommend anyone putting this on their bucket list of trails to run in Colorado. the Jaws obstacles are challenging and a couple of them will have you out of your Jeep to look them over wondering how you are going to tackle them. Out and back trail, so you get to do them in return direction. For comparison/reference, if you found Chinaman Gulch or Holy Cross or Spring Creek fun, then buckle up for this one. Is more challenging. And a rewarding view at the lake at the top!

Pics or it didn't happen....

Wish I could have made the trip but it didn't work out for me.

Looks like we have some snow in the high country today, season may be wrapping up soon. Any trail runs on the higher up trails may need to happen in the next few weeks guys.

Awesome! How bad was Jaws 2? I still haven’t ran this trail. It kind of spooks me. I’ve ran Cliffhanger, Black Bear and Schofield (Devil’s Punchbowl) but this looks spooky.
