I'm so sick of the media pulling the 'black' card. Shit happens every day regardless of race and crime but the media constantly picks the white overpowering black stories and completely ignores the black on white, black on black, or white on white. It's bullshit.

I'm not sure they are idiots. I think that may be their plan. The Govt cant use the military against U.S. citizens. There is not such rule, that I know of, for a Federal police force.

It's not the Naysayers it's the Newspapers.. When we stop seeing "White Cop" and start seeing "Black (POC) Cop" (which will never happen). The news will never let division end.. At this time it is black and white. Their all saying that the police are racist and people of color can't be racist.

That is getting harder and harder. Truth is many police departments are already running short and qualified people are becoming harder to find. Only considering what people see in the national news, who would want to be a police officer right now?

I must be flying on the wrong airline. I’m in the air about 4X’s a month now and I have yet to be patted down or touched. As I’m thinking about it, I’ve only seen one person even get “wanded”.

Regarding the topic on hand I had typed a five paragraph rant but decided to leave it alone. I had my pay cut 10% last year and Newsome announced 2400 jobs in my department would be cut. I found out last week my job is one of them, 1100 jobs in my small community will be cut by June of 2022. It will destroy my home town, I get a little sensitive about defund the police

I use to fly every couple of months from Tx to Utah but quit after 9/11 flying because I was always the "random" check every time, both directions.
I thought it was my camera backpack but when I had my wife take it and I had no carry on, guess who still got checked.... also got checked before boarding at every gate on layover flights both directions, every time.
fast forward to 2019, we flew to Florida, I kiddingly told my wife and daughter I would be stopped, my carry on was my laptop... sure enough, got pulled and searched.
on the flight back, my daughter took my laptop and all I had was a small duffle bag full of damn harry potter chocolates, didn't take long to spot the TSA shadowing me as we worked our way thru the line. Wife and daughter didn't believe me until 3 guys met me at the scanner - well, they tried their best to act inconspicuous but they didn't leave until I was cleared. This wasn't any one airline, they all treated me equally
I drive unless absolutely have to fly.
Now I thank them for profiling me, laying their hands on me and glad I paid extra for the special treatment

Like everything it’s a pendulum. Some communities will reduced funding and gut their police departments, the city will fail, people will leave for safer, funded communities. The mistakes will be realized 40 years later, the city will refund and rebuild just look at Detroit from 68’ to now, people in power need to learn history verses acting on emotion as they do everyday.

Denver is horrible about it. Or at least used to be. I stopped flying because of it. It's wrong. Glad to hear they're not putting their hands on you.
