KC Hilites Flex ERA lights

Any of you guys running the flex era 3 or flex era 4 lights? If so, any issues? I'd like to see some pics of any mounted on the front bumper especially on a jl or jt. My fog lights are going to go away when the bumper is taken off and i want to purchase lights before the new one goes on. I'm likely going to build custom brackets but just want to see how they look.

Not to hijack your thread... but since you started it.. lol... can someone explain the difference between the spot vs the combo... if the goal is to help in dust (amber cover) or to simply "light shit up" in the dark.... which is better? Combo or Spot?

Aren’t those the ones on eddies gladiator

Don't think so.

I’ve been looking real hard at these too. What kind of bumper are you going with?

Warn winch plate. I literally bought this exact one from Eddie:

I really dig the cleanliness of the winch plate only. [emoji106]
I have that plate sitting in the barn. I may have to try it out sans bumper just to see how it feels.

I've loved the look since they installed it on jet li. I went back and forth in my mind over warn vs evo quarter pounder and finally decided on the warn. Ain't gonna lie, I really like the stock Sport jt bumper too. I think simpler just looks better on the new platform. The oem steel with the ends taken off looks good too.

I liked the which plate for awhile on my JL, it's simple, nice and tucked. However it left alot exposed underneath, especially the sway bar motor, which may not be be an issue depending on model, use, ect. Also I had different mounting points than eddie being he had steel bumper group but I was able to make it work, even though I thought it needed to be mounted more stoutly I never got around to "upgrading" it but never had an issue. If I recall there wasn't room to flip swaybar until I went to 1/4 pounder. But it's a cheap easy upgrade in my opinion to mount a winch, especially if you already have some parts laying around.

Not experience myself and would also like to know more on these.

Ain't gonna lie. The main reason I've been eyeing these is because they're so different looking. The square lights and the round lights have their place and application. I've been fond of both in certain scenarios. But these are different and I love it. Round lights are cool and have been around forever. Square lights are newer but everyone and their mother is running them. These are different and KC is a quality brand. If everyone is running these in a few months, I'll scrap them and build my own Thomas Edison style.

So, I've been trying to buy a set of the ERA 3's for months but they've been out of stock. I'm wanting to install them on our JL as A-Pillar lights. However, now that the ERA 4's are out now, I may get them instead or in addition to the 3's and install them on our Gladiator as bumper lights. Either way, I think both are super nice. I just wish I could get my hands on a set. I should note, I have a contact at KC and he can't even help me. He said that the first batch sold out in hours. :rolleyes2:

I have the Gravity Pro 6 light bar and I like it a lot. However, it's a LOT of light and I don't always need that much and taking off the covers can be a pain. I want a set of these so that I can just flip them on as needed.

Good feedback. Too bad they're not quickly accessible. Honestly the price is a little high IMO but sounds like the demand is there regardless. I just love that they're so different-looking. Sucks to hear you're not having luck getting them efficiently.

Thanks for the pic and the link... I've actually watched it already, but they don't really say what is best for dust... I'll probably just go with the combo 4" Flex and hook it up to my factory fog light switch. Plus you can change out the lens later if you want.

Not sure about dust, but even with the security lights on my home, I've always understood 'spot' to be a direct 'laser like' approach to concentrate light in one area whereas 'flood' or 'combo' spreads it out more to see more area but doesn't acheive the distance.

This model is not available at 4wheelonline. I don't want to be an impulsive buyer, but I find it unique in terms of its design which makes it tempting for me to spend money for this light. Can somebody tell me where I can find one?

Seems like nothing cool is at 4wheelonline which is why I don't shop there. Plus every spammer and their mother seems to show up here just to pimp that stupid company. Google search brings up plenty of other retailers that sell the lights.

The amber lights show better in dust than white. It's not so much for you to see it makes it easier for others to see you
