East Meets West: Moab and Ouray August 1-9, 2020

I just wanted to Thank Bill and Jeff for putting this trip together. Of course also a Thanks to Byron and Jerry for trail leading us and getting some out of trouble. [emoji23]

Also it was great to meet new members and wheel with everyone. And seeing some members again.

Overall an Epic trip and one to remember, can't wait for more pics and videos. Looking forward to the next one. [emoji106]

I am home as well. Rolled on a little after 4 this morning. The tail end of the drive blowed. Was a struggle.

As for the trip, wow. What an unbelievable time with some of the best people I have ever met, except Taylor, she was really mean 😝.

A huge thank you to Byron and who we all know as West Coast Jerry for leading us all around. Without you two we would not have seen and experienced half of what we got to see.

Anytime!

Start watching videos of Sand Hollow. I think I got Weebz hooked.

I am hooked and ready to roll. When we leaving? What’s the deal with the Monarch area around CO? Anything good there? Saw lots of trails as I drove through.

Next May is when my group plans on going back. We normally get 4-5 houses. Adding a few people to the group won't be an issue.

I don't know anything about the CO trails. I think there are a bunch near Montrose as well!

We made it back last night about 12:30. Back at work today :icon_crazy:

I think Jeff (Weebz) should be getting in today some time...he's the last one

Edit - check that - I think Andy (Nbunga) got caught in that I-70 shutdown because of the fire. He had to detour I believe

I made it home about 2 last night. Had to take 82 thru Aspen and over independence pass around that fire. It’s a pretty dry but when you take all the traffic off of I 70 onto there it goes a little slow.

I managed to go thru the National forests and miss all that.[emoji106]

Keep me posted. I’ll need time to coordinate but would love to make it

How many hours?

With all this talk of you guys making it out west again I am gonna have to put in some effort to make it out east!

What was the place you and Jeff were telling me I needed to visit? Something in October?

28 hours drive so two days. Jeff will have to add 9 to that.

Windrock ORV just outside of Oak Ridge Tennessee. Thinking Mid October.

Yeah. I would have to look into shipping the Jeep then just fly out. That is at least 6 days driving there and back. That would take a good chunk out of my vacation!
